Where it all began…
Kerri is from Appleton, Wisconsin and played high school volleyball for Kaukauna High. She played three years of club volleyball at Fox Cities Elite and earned a scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
Kerri had a very successful college career at The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, finishing in the top five in school history for kills and blocks. During her five seasons (2007-2011) at UWM, the Panthers won four Horizon League regular season championships and advanced to the NCAA Tournament three times. Kerri was twice named the Horizon League Player of the Year in 2010 and 2011, AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, and AVCA All-Region. After graduation she played professional indoor volleyball for two seasons on the Wisconsin Badger Blizzards PVL (Premier Volleyball League).
In 2015 Kerri fully committed herself to the outdoor game. During the 2015 beach season, she traveled the AVP Beach Tour while living and training in Milwaukee, WI. She played her way into 5 professional events with 4 top 10 finishes! In 2016 she made the career decision to move to southern California and once again, placing a few more top 10 finishes 5th being her best in 2018 and 2019. Moving to California to be closer to the beach and surround herself with the heart of the beach volleyball community was the best decision she could have made! But the tables have turned and she now made the move back to WI to share her knowledge, experience and expertise to grow the beach game in the Midwest
AS A COACH
It started during her time spent at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She gained collegiate coaching experience as an assistant at Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2012. In 2014 she became the assistant head coach. During this time, she started a coaching business centered around giving private and group lessons and that's when her career really started to blossom.
When she made the move to California in January 2016, she immediately started coaching! While coaching private lessons she became one of the top coaches at Volley Camp Hermosa where she stayed for 2 years and coached along side Patty Dodd with her club Manhattan Beach. During that traveled and coach camps around the US form Kings beach lake Tahoe, to Chicago and Texas. In 2018 she moved back to her hometown to bring the game to the midwest. Since then she’s been growing the beach game and bringing opportunity to the youth.
Out side of volleyball you can find Kerri in her craft corner creating all things or outside exploring the outdoors.
