It all started when…
Sarah first started playing volleyball in high school, and by her senior season she was selected KHSVCA first Team All-State. She played club volleyball for KIVA out of Louisville, Kentucky and her 18’s team finished 1st in the AAU Junior National Championships, where she was also named to the All-American team. Her KIVA team also finished 2nd at the USAV National Championships in 2003.
She received a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where she played right side her freshman year before moving to the middle. She still holds several school records for attack percentage and blocking. In addition to earning an AVCA All Region honorable mention in 2005, she was selected for the 2006 All-Conference and Academic All Conference Team. Sarah was also named the Conference Tournament MVP that same year. She finished her career at UWM having won four Horizon League regular season titles while also claiming a league tournament crown and NCAA berth.
She recently moved to Wisconsin with her husband, 3 kids and puppy after living in St. Louis, MO for 13 years. She’s super excited to begin her coaching career with The SandBox in hopes to learn the beach game in depth.
